The Benefits of Being Faithful to God

Your faithfulness can go a long way. Strong believers understand just what “keeping the faith” can do. But some people have a hard time understanding just how good their life can be if they have faith.

“What every believer & non believer has felt”

In Hebrew 11:1-2, the bible says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtain a good testimony”.

Every person has felt that it’s hard for them to believe because they can not see God. God understands. God knows we are human and we are going to make mistakes. But your faith is your key to a good, full, happy life. When we believe that God is the ruler of all things, you are opening a door to so much more.

When we follow God’s will, it comes with being faithful. See, we are always thrown temptation & distractions but when you’re faithful and obedient; when you know who the ruler of your life is, it’s easy to stay faithful. It’s easy to know that this is just a test. I know what God can do for me and I will remain faithful to Him. But if you don’t stay faithful and follow the distraction, that path will lead you to a world of disruption. All because you weren’t faithful to God. You allowed something else to rule you. Doing that, you are not living God’s will for your life and you will not reap the benefits. You are being unfaithful. You must believe in God even when the going gets tough. In order to live Gods will, you must first be and remain faithful.

Turn in your bible to James 1:12-15. The bible says…

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown brings forth death.”

Temptation will cause a lot to go on in your life. It can turn things upside down. But your faithfulness in God can defeat that and move you to bigger and better things.

 “Love & Faith”

God says in Matthew to love your enemies. Now I know when I first read that, I said “Yeah right” But I didn’t understand what that meant. God says to love, so we should love. Love is kind, right? We should love everyone. Even if it’s killing us inside to have a heart for someone, we should be faithful and love everyone. Loving others pleases God. We are being faithful. Sometimes, you have to make sacrifices and give God what He asks. You know that all things of God are good. There’s nothing He would do or tell us to do that will harm us. Everything about God is good. Loving others is a good thing and doing good brings good.

Be faithful and love all those around you no matter what the y did to you. Faith and love go hand in hand. God asks us to love one another. You want to be faithful to Him then you need to put your pride aside and love everyone, even your enemies. It’s call being faithful!

Turn in your bible to 1Timothy 1:5. The bible says…..

“Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from a sincere faith.”

God doesn’t just want us to say I love you. He wants us to really love those around us and want good things for that person and their family. Cleanse your heart and fill it with love. Doing good brings good!

 “Our Troubles

We all have troubles in our lives. By being faithful to God, we are showing Him He’s in control. When you worry and stress about your problems. We show no faith. Put all your faith into God. Believe He will heal and comfort. Believe He will deliver you out of that situation.   Believe in the path that He has in store for you and follow it. Just believe and have faith!

Turn in your bible to Psalm 37:3. The bible says…..

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.”

See God will always be faithful to you. He does what He says He’s going to do. He’s there. He always keeps His word. He wants you to dwell in His faithfulness. Believe He is faithful and you are to be faithful as well.

Having faith is one of the hardest things to do because we can’t see God. We can’t look at Him and analyze Him. We can’t turn Him around and make sure He’s going to work. You just have to believe and have faith. Look at what He’s done for you in your life so far. I know everything in your life is not all bad. There’s some good. Any good that you receive in life is no one but God. Be faithful to Him and reap the benefits He offers if you just believe and have faith. Have faith that through love comes good.; a pure heart that doesn’t judge but loves unconditionally as God does. God made us to be like Him. No one else. Have faith that God will take care of you through your troubles and as long as you believe He will do it. Having faith will guide you to God’s will for your life.
