When God Comes into your Life

Crazy things, weird things happen to us when God comes into our lives. We see things, hear things that other people don’t and they look at us funny. But you will notice the definite changes in your life when God makes Himself present.

 Our own Personal Actions

When God comes into our lives we have changed. The old you has went out the door. Although the devil will try to make you change back, make you bring that old person back, you’re different when God comes into your life. Our personal actions show that we are new. Something has changed. For instance, if you are someone who normally told a lie, perhaps a small lie, because it made a situation easier or kept you out of trouble, when God comes into your life, you can’t tell that lie. God has influenced your actions because now you’re afraid to sin. You don’t want to upset God. You watch what you say and do because now you want to do everything that will please God. Or maybe someone who you use to be around a lot, spent a lot of time with; maybe the old you would love to do the things you and that friend did but now you just can’t. You can’t live that life; you can’t go back to it. God has influenced you for the good. It’s not them. It’s not that they are a bad friend; it’s just that you have been influenced. Your personal actions have changed. Other people around you will notice the change. Now all of this is normal; you’re just simply letting God in.

Turn in your bible to 1 Corinthians 15:1-2. The bible says……..

More over, brethren, I declare to you the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you-unless you believed in vain.

You have received God’s word; you have received Him into your life. What He stands for you are now that.

Around You

Around you there will be plenty of changes. People will act different, now don’t blame them. The devil simply sees a change and is using people around you to break you away from God. We know the devil will try his hardest to influence us. There will be temptations after another but be strong and remain faithful to God. Understand the devil will be busy. Remain focused and in control and don’t allow the things around you to jeopardize your new life. Pray for yourself and pray for others.

Turn in your bible to James 4:7-8. The bible says…….

Therefore submit to God. Resist the evil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, your sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.

Draw close to God and the devil will flee. Temptation will always be around but keep God close and it will do no harm.

Change

Some people don’t know how to accept change. Others do but when God comes into your life, change is bound to happen. Some people will draw close to you and some will pull away. For those who pull away, there’s nothing you can do for them except pray. Maybe they are not ready to accept God into their lives. In due time, they will. They may not understand you at this point. That’s ok. You can speak the word of God to them but don’t pressure them. Some people have to do it at their own pace. Those that draw close to you, want more. They look at you and see peace, happiness and understanding. They want more. You never know, God might be using you to be their angel. Change is going to occur all around us. Understand that you are not at fault. Your change has been for the good. Other people just react to change differently.

Turn in your bible to Daniel 2:21. The bible says……….

And he changes the times and the seasons; he removes kings and raises up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.

God Bless,

New Year Challenge:

Become a better you in 2010. We all have trouble areas. Fears, addictions, past hurts. In 2010 let’s work on our trouble areas. Release the devil from the hold he has on certain areas in our life. I’ve created a challenge that helps anyone who wants a change in their life. Follow these easy steps:

1. Ask yourself what areas are you having trouble with in your life?

2. Write it down.

3. Ask yourself what triggers this area? Write it down.

4. Go to your bible and find a scripture that will give you guidance, strength, and courage over this area of your life. Write it down.

5. Lastly, make a commitment everyday to improve that area of your life.
